John Jani Janardhan
The soon to be released music album of director Gurudeshpande's upcoming Kannada film, John Jani Janardhan, has an interesting feature. All the five songs that feature on the album are written by film directors.
The lyrics for the title track, John Jani Janardhan, has been written by Chethan Kumar (director of Bahadur); a song about girls featuring Aindrita Ray — Preethiya Parivala Harihoythu Geleya — has been written by Santhu (director of Alemari); the peppy rap number Kaliyo Kannada Kaliyo has been co-written by Chandan Shetty and the film's director, Gurudeshpande; the song Roominge Ondhu Kagada Bandiede has been written by AP Arjun (whose most recent directorials include Rhaatee and Mr Airavata); and the song Onde Thayi Makkalu is by noted lyricist K Kalyan, who is directing a film called Watchman.
